Actually there is a new version of the Connection Manager at http://support.euro.dell.com/support/downloads/format.aspx?c=de&l=de&s=g... that finally worked for me.

After installing the Vista64 Driver for the 5530 Wireless Card in Windows 7 64bit, i have an unknown device in the
device manager. Its called "Smartcard Reader". I didnt find any solution how to install this device under Win7 64bit.
System is a Dell Studio15 with 5530 UMTS card.

you installed the vista64 drivers in Win7 64bit and after rebooting the device was present?? After rebooting my smartcard reader is still without drivers :-( What's wrong ? Maybe wrong or incompatible driver for Win7 64bit ??
